We empty the Jimny. We remove the crates, we tidy up, we sort. The papers, the souvenirs, the objects that have accumulated week after week. We finally find that damn thing we've been looking for everywhere, and we finally mourn that lost water bottle, that buff that disappeared without warning, and a few probably overly ambitious goals.

So, if we take stock:

· Three weeks in Iceland, including a short week in Hornstrandir.

· Three days in the Faroe Islands.

· Five days in Denmark, between Hirtshals, Copenhagen and Aarhus, passing through Sæby.

· Two days in Hamburg.

· Four days on board the Norröna.

· A good ten waterfalls photographed.

·Dozens of drawings, sketches and paintings.

·Five serious interviews.

· Around ten “live” meetings.

· 4,700 kilometers traveled with Jimny.

· Five breakdowns (or rather two, if we count correctly — and only one really annoying one, which was finally resolved fairly quickly).

· Hundreds of sheep, horses, cows, foxes, seals, and dozens of birds of all kinds crossed on the road.

In terms of actual losses: a spork, a buff, a molar, and that damn canteen. Frankly, that's a more than decent figure.

Now all that's left is to return to a sense of normalcy. Tidy up, but above all, assemble. Minds, memories, notes, images. Everything that will leave a mark. And above all, don't wait. Plan the next project before this one even closes.

By the end of winter, we hope to have a first edition of the notebook out, ready to go to the printer. And who knows, maybe organize an exhibition or two, here and there. Gabrielle has already produced an impressive amount of work on site, but much remains to be done: numerous drawings, watercolors, and works that will emerge from photographs, when painting outside proved impossible—weather too harsh, logistics lacking, or simply unfeasible conditions.

And before closing this Icelandic interlude, a huge thank you to all those who supported us, read us, followed us, encouraged us, and sometimes even advised us over the days. Having you on board, even from a distance, gave even more meaning to this adventure. We hope you were able to experience a little piece of it with us.

The journey doesn't really end here. It continues in other ways.
