A little news from the Icelandic front (or rather: the preparation before setting off there).
đ The roof rack isn't fixed yet, but we're making progress. Several serious leads, some good contacts, we should have a clear picture tomorrow or Friday. The idea is to reinforce without adding weight, and to secure without blocking access to the tent. To be continued.
đ We also received the Inkavik stickers!
One in the front, one in the rearâunderstated, a little discreet, but it changes everything. The car has taken on the appearance of a project. A rolling promise. The photos are coming soon.
đ§ Gear-wise, we've made a few strategic raids on trekking and electronics stores... and we're starting to feel pretty good.
Sturdy, compact, and lightweight. Enough to draw far away, walk for long distances, capture sounds, or recharge in the shade of a fjord.
đČ We're still missing the "semi-fresh" food (pasta, rice, dried meat, canned goods) that we'll get at the last minute, and of course the freeze-dried food for the hiking days.
đŻ And there's still the car service, of course, so as not to discover any surprises when approaching an icy ford.
We are moving forward, slowly but surely.
Every detail falls into place, every turn of the project becomes more real.
Thanks for following along with usâwe'll be on board soon.
