It may be a detail to you… but to us, It changes everything.
Today we mounted the roof tent on the Jimny for the very first time.
A slightly awkward first opening, a brief moment of hesitation to understand the mechanism... then the click: it unfolds, gently, as if it were waiting for that day.
It's still rough, not finalized: the annex is missing, the adjustments are missing, the bags are not yet wedged, the nights are not yet counted.
But the installation is done.
The heart of the project Inkavik is posed. 🌬️
It's not yet a bivouac, it's not yet Iceland...
But it's a real departure.
This tent is our northern house.
A little cocoon suspended between asphalt and volcanoes, between what we know and what we are going to discover.
There is still a lot to prepare - the layout, the tools, the field tests.
But today we can say: Inkavik is taking shape.
