According to local legend, these two giants from Iceland were on a mission to steal from the Faroe Islands and bring them back home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But they waited too long, and the sun rose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Caught by the first rays, they were turned to stone, frozen forever in the sea, facing the cliffs of the island of Eysturoy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
