A little over two weeks after our return, the Icelandic dust has settled\u2014and with it, the pace is slowly returning to a more \u201cnormal\u201d pace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Gabrielle is back in France, surrounded by piles of notebooks, sheets of paper, and colorful sketches. She sorts, classifies, and selects from the dozens of paintings, drawings, and sketches created during the trip. Not everything could have been created on the spot: between the unpredictable weather, the cumbersome logistics, and the fatigue, it would have been unrealistic to accomplish everything in a few days. But it's not a failure\u2014it was meant to be from the start.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Today, the work continues differently: some compositions are born from photos, others from memories or simple sensations. The photo freezes an image. The memory brings a fleeting detail. The experience adds an invisible but essential color. And this is the magic of fine art: the final work becomes a synthesis, a sensitive translation of what was seen, felt, and shared.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Already more than a dozen paintings have emerged from this creative effervescence. The texts will be reworked, enriched, and rewritten to accompany each image and find their rightful place in the future notebook. The format is chosen, the framework is set: now all that remains is to assemble, harmonize, and give tangible form to it all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
